Our Story
Built around how tuition already works in Sri Lanka
Sri Lankan tuition has always been about trust. A parent finds a teacher through a recommendation. The student pays directly. The relationship is personal. Edugo didn't try to change that — we built technology around it.
We saw teachers managing students over WhatsApp, sharing PDFs through groups, and chasing receipts manually. Students were losing track of materials and missing notices buried in long message threads.
Edugo gives teachers a proper dashboard without asking them to change how they collect fees or who they teach. Students get a clean space for everything — materials, recordings, quizzes, notices — in one place.

How we got here
Edugo is still early, but the momentum is real.
The idea
Frustrated by teachers managing student lists over WhatsApp and chasing payment receipts manually, we started building Edugo — a platform that keeps the teacher–student relationship intact but removes the admin chaos.
First class goes live
A mathematics teacher from Colombo becomes the first on Edugo. Students enrol, upload payment receipts, and access class materials — all in one place for the first time.
Growing island-wide
Word spreads teacher to teacher. Classes in Physics, Chemistry, English, and Commerce go live from Kandy, Galle, and Kurunegala. The 100-student milestone passes quietly.
Pro plan launches
Advanced tools — analytics, bulk session scheduling, quiz banks, and priority support — become available for teachers running larger classes.

Browsing classes and creating a student account is completely free. Teachers can create their first class for free too. Pro and Pro+ plans are optional — they unlock advanced tools for teachers running larger classes. Students never pay Edugo anything.
You pay your teacher directly — by bank transfer or cash. Edugo never collects or holds tuition payments. Upload your payment receipt in the platform and your teacher approves your access, usually within a few hours.
Yes. Every teacher goes through a verification review before their classes go live — a basic check to confirm their identity and qualifications. We always encourage students to read a teacher's profile and class description before enrolling.
Yes. Once enrolled, class materials, recorded sessions, quizzes, and notices are available in your student dashboard whenever you need them — at your own pace, on any device.
Payment disputes are between you and your teacher directly. We encourage both sides to agree on terms before enrolment. If you need guidance, reach us on our Contact page.
