Refund Policy

Last updated: 16 July 2026

This policy explains how refunds work for payments made on Edugo. It is important to understand that Edugo handles two very different kinds of payment, and only one of them is processed by us.

1. What this policy covers

This Refund Policy applies to teacher subscription plans (Pro and Pro+), which are digital services billed monthly and processed through our payment provider, PayHere. These are the only payments Edugo collects.

2. Tuition fees are not processed by Edugo

Tuition fees are paid directly between students and teachers (by bank transfer or cash) and are never collected, held, or processed by Edugo. Any tuition refund or dispute is strictly between the student and the teacher, and is not covered by this policy. See our Terms of Service for more.

3. Subscription refunds

Pro and Pro+ subscriptions unlock digital features immediately and are billed for a monthly period. Because the service is delivered instantly, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the billing period has started, except in the cases below or where a refund is required by law.

4. When we will issue a refund

We will refund a subscription charge in the following situations:

  • Duplicate or accidental charges — if you were billed more than once for the same period, we refund the extra charge in full.
  • Technical failure — if a payment succeeded but your account was not upgraded, or the paid features were unavailable due to a fault on our side and we could not resolve it.
  • Billing after cancellation — if you were charged after cancelling your subscription for the upcoming period.

5. How to request a refund

Contact us within 7 days of the charge via our Contact page, including the date of the charge, the amount, and the reason for your request. We review every request individually.

6. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through PayHere. Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 7–14 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
