Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 June 2026

This policy explains what information Edugo collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Edugo you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account details — your name, phone number, and (for teachers) profile and verification information you provide.
  • Payment receipts — when you upload a bank slip or receipt to unlock a class, that image is stored so your teacher can verify it.
  • Class activity — the classes you join, materials and recordings you open, quizzes you take, and messages you send through the platform.
  • Technical data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

To run the platform: connect you with classes and teachers, verify payments, deliver content you've unlocked, send notifications about your classes, and keep the service safe. We do not sell your personal information.

Payments

Tuition payments are made directly between you and your teacher (bank transfer or cash). Edugo does not collect or store your card or bank-account details for tuition. Receipts you upload are shared with the relevant teacher only, for verification. Teacher subscription payments are processed by our payment provider (PayHere); we do not store card details for those either.

Who can see your information

Teachers see the information needed to manage their classes and verify your payment. We use trusted service providers to host and run the platform (for example, our database and storage provider). We share information with them only as needed to operate Edugo, and we may disclose information if required by law.

Storage & security

Your data is stored with our hosting provider with access controls in place. Payment receipts are kept in private storage accessible only to you and your teacher. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices

You can view and update your profile details at any time from your account. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact us using the details on our Contact page.

Children

Edugo is intended for tuition students. If you are under 16, please use Edugo with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the date above when we do.
