Creating a teacher account takes about two minutes. You need a working email address and a Sri Lankan mobile number.
Start at Create a teacher account.
What you'll be asked for
Full name — this is the name students see on your classes and your public
profile, so write it the way you want to be known: Mr. Ashan Perera,
Chamari Silva (BSc), whatever your students already call you. You can change
it later.
Email — used for signing in, for password recovery, and for the confirmation link we send you now. Use an address you actually check.
Phone number — a 10-digit Sri Lankan mobile, like 0771234567. This becomes
your main contact for students, and you can sign in with it instead of your
email if you prefer.
Password — at least 10 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number. Use the eye icon to check what you typed before submitting.
You also need to tick the box agreeing to the Terms of Service and Teacher Policies.
Confirm your email
After you submit, Edugo sends a confirmation link to your email address. Your account isn't active until you click it.
If the email hasn't arrived after a minute or two:
- Check your spam or promotions folder. This is by far the most common reason teachers think signup failed. Mark the message "not spam" so future Edugo emails come straight to your inbox.
- Check that you typed the address correctly.
- Wait a full two minutes before requesting another link.
Clicking the link confirms your account and takes you to your teacher dashboard.
Signing up with Google
Instead of filling in the form, you can use Sign up with Google. You'll need to accept the terms first — the button stays disabled until you tick the box.
Google signup skips the email confirmation step, since Google has already verified your address. You'll be asked to complete your profile with your phone number before you reach the dashboard.
If you already have an account
If you see "An account with this email or phone number already exists", you've signed up before. Go to the teacher sign-in page instead, or reset your password if you can't remember it.
Note that student and teacher accounts are separate roles on the same system. If you registered as a student with this email, you can't reuse it for a teacher account — sign up with a different email address, or contact us and we'll sort it out.
What happens next
Once you're in, your dashboard shows two setup steps: adding your bank details and creating your first class. Both are covered in Your first 10 minutes.
