Verified teachers show a green Verified badge on their profile and on every class they teach. It tells a student that a real person at Edugo checked your credentials.

Apply from the Verified Teacher Badge section of your Profile page.

What to submit

One document that shows you are who you say you are and can teach what you say you teach. Any of these work:

  • A degree or diploma certificate
  • A teaching qualification or training certificate
  • A letter or ID from a school or institute where you teach
  • A professional registration document

Upload a clear photo or scan. If the text isn't readable, the request gets rejected — that's the most common reason by far.

What the review checks

A person at Edugo reads it. They're checking that:

  • The document is legible and looks genuine
  • The name on it matches the name on your Edugo profile
  • It relates to teaching or to the subject you teach

They are not judging how prestigious your qualification is. A teaching certificate from a local institute verifies just as well as a university degree.

While you wait

Your profile shows "Your verification request is under review". Reviews are done by hand, so allow a few days.

You don't need to wait to start teaching. Create classes, take enrolments, run sessions — the badge only affects how your profile looks.

If it's rejected

You'll see the reason on your profile page, and you can submit again straight away. Usual causes:

  • Blurry or cropped photo — retake it in good light, with all four corners of the document visible
  • Name mismatch — the document says R. A. C. Silva, your profile says Chamari. Fix your profile name to match the document, or send a document in the name you use.
  • Wrong document — a payslip, an NIC or a class photo doesn't establish a teaching credential

Fix the specific thing named in the reason and resubmit. There's no limit on attempts.

Why it's worth doing

Verified teachers stand out in search and, in our experience, convert far better with parents who are choosing between two teachers they've never met. It costs nothing and takes one upload.
