Pro+ teachers can upload video directly to Edugo instead of linking YouTube. These recordings are watermarked, streamed rather than downloaded, and can only be opened by students entitled to that month's content.
The uploader appears on the Resources tab, and on each session under session recordings.
Why not just use YouTube
An unlisted YouTube link is only as private as the link. One student pastes it into a group chat and your entire term's recordings are public — you won't know, and you can't take it back.
Protected uploads solve that: the video is tied to your class, watermarked, and only plays for a student whose payment covers the month it's filed under.
If piracy isn't a worry for you — a free revision class, a public seminar — YouTube is simpler and costs you nothing. Use the ordinary Video material type for that.
What you can upload

- Total storage: 50 GB per teacher, shared across all your classes
A typical 90-minute class recorded at 720p lands somewhere around 1–2 GB, so 50 GB is roughly 25–50 sessions. The quota bar above the uploader shows what you've used.
Uploading
- Choose the file
- Give it a title students will recognise
- Pick the lesson it belongs under
- Set the month — the same month rule applies, and it's what decides who can watch
- Upload
Large files take a while. The upload resumes if your connection drops, so a flaky line won't force you to start over — but don't close the tab.
Keeping within the quota
50 GB goes further than you'd think if you're deliberate:
- Record at 720p, not 1080p. For a whiteboard or slides, 720p is perfectly readable and roughly half the size.
- Trim the dead air before uploading — the ten minutes of setup before students arrive is pure quota.
- Delete recordings you no longer need. Last year's batch has finished; the recordings can go once nobody's paying for that content.
If you're near the limit, check the quota bar before starting a big upload rather than discovering it at 90%.

If you're not on Pro+
The uploader doesn't appear. Use the Video material type with a YouTube link, and consider unlisted rather than public so it's at least not searchable.
